Mitosis and Cell Sequence Impact Cell Velocity in Microfluidic Mazes
Quantified the tendency of fibroblast cells in microfluidic mazes to move in opposition to the global chemoattractant gradient, depending on the velocity of nearby fibroblasts. Results offer new insight into chemotaxis: the movement of cells in response to chemical stimulus
Investigating Spatial Memory and Navigation in Virtual Reality
Compared spatial memory performance between groups of healthy participants and epilepsy patients by running trials of the spatial memory game ‘Treasure Hunt’ in virtual reality (VR). Results were published in the 2019 International Conference on Virtual Rehabilitation.
NASA Micro-g NExT Team Challenge with Columbia Space Initiative
Designed a device that detects and removes sharp edges on the handrails of the ISS caused by micrometeoroid impacts. Our team was invited to test our device at the Neutral Buoyancy Lab, and our technical paper won first place at the AIAA International Student Conference.
